To get work started I will need a deposit to cover the material costs. The full amount must be paid only when the customer is completely satisfied with their guitar. This will involve the customer trying out their guitar and any set-up alterations being completed. Rare and figured tonewoods and inlays will require extra costs, please see below and the Tonewoods Index page.

Price includes Hiscox Flight case. No extra charge for left handed instruments.

Standard Dreadnought
These guitars are a traditional shaped dreadnought and have a 1 piece dovetailed neck with a nut width of 43mm.. A scale length of 664mm (25.34”) and 21 frets. The head of the neck is designed to be stronger than a standard neck and to transmit more of the energy of the strings to the bridge. Only unbleached Bone nuts are used for superior sound quality. The fingerboard radius is 16”. The soundboard has tuned quarter sawn sitka spruce x-brace struts in sympathy with A at 440Hz. Bowed back and front with a 40ft front radius and a 15ft back radius.

These guitars are a traditional shape classical based on a design by Antonio De Torres and have a nut width of 43mm. A scale length of 664mm (25.34”) and 21 frets. The neck is built into the body in the traditional method for classical guitars and has a stacked heel. Only unbleached Bone nuts are used for superior sound quality. The soundboard has tuned quarter sawn sitka spruce fan-brace struts in sympathy with A at 440Hz. Bowed back and front with a 40ft front radius and a 15ft back radius.

Guitar / Bass / Acoustic Set-Up and Repair
I specialise in authentic traditional finishes using different types of french polish and a variety of glues. Repair and restoration has to be sympathetic to the original construction of the instrument. Hide glue enables a revesible process and mineralises enabling better sound conduction. Should the instrument require collection, additional charges will apply for travel expenses. This price list is a guide only, a quote will be provided after visual inspection of the instrument.
