Choice of Master Quality Tonewoods

The differences between woods are mysterious and complex. Even within a species, no two pieces of wood are exactly alike. Environmental conditions, genetics, the age of the tree, annular growth patterns, grain orientation, curing conditions, and so on all have an effect on the tonal properties of a piece of wood.

Master Quality Tonewoods

All of my guitars are handcrafted with a choice of hand selected Master Quality tonewoods and decoration. These are some examples I have available.

Tonewoods have their own individual qualities, affecting the sound range in the harmonics. Rosewood for instance has a rich smooth tone as opposed to Maple which has a bright tone.

I like to show the natural beauty of the woods I use. All examples shown are unfinished and will only reveal their full depth of colour, grain and pattern when finally french polished.
